REFLECT

Summer is coming to an end and, if you are like me, you forgot to rest. You didn’t get a chance to tackle the pile of books you wanted to read, and you are already behind for fall.

If you are not like me and you had a great time sitting on a beach, you are well rested, and you are organizing your to-do lists by color coding what will motivate you, sustain you, and enliven your ministry, good for you.

Just please don’t tell me.

This week, as we wind down summer, put kids on the bus or in carpools, send kids off to college, or listen to the deafening silence in the house after they are all on their way, let us pray for each other, the year ahead, and the teachers and educators who are not ready for kids to come back.
